This searchable database is the result of a graveyard survey project that photographed, mapped, transcribed and collected any local knowledge relating to the graveyard and those buried in them. Graveyards surveyed included Caheragh, Drimoleague, Drinagh, Creagh, Kilcoe, Aughadown as well as Abbeymahon and Chapel Lane Graveyards in Skibbereen.
The Skibbereen Heritage Centre also transcribed burial registers, held by Cork County Council, for the following West Cork graveyards: Abbeymahon, Abbeystrowry, Allihies, Ardagh, Ballymoney, Castlehaven, Coronea, Drimoleague, Durrus Island, Fanlobbus, Kilbarry, Kilcaskan, Kilmacabea, Rathbarry, Tullagh and Whiddy Island. A search of the database includes photographs, transcripts and burial details such as name, date of death, date of burial and address. The original pages from the registers are also available to download in PDF format if available. New
