The Enrolled Pensioner Force consisted of soldiers who came to the colony of Western Australia between 1850 and 1874, most arriving during the years of convict transportation as Guards on the convict ships. They were soldiers who had been discharged from Military Service, and who on discharge from the army, were awarded pensions. The site has lots of detailed information and photographs about the scheme. The Profiles section contains profiles of all the men. The Ships section contains a list of all the convict ships that came to Western Australia between 1850 and 1868. Click on the name of a ship to access details of the ship and a list of the Pensioner Guards who arrived on her.
