The Historical Record Collections for the United Kingdom and Ireland include:
• Chelsea Pensioners’ Service Records 1760-1913. This is an index to records with information on men pensioned out of the British Army. (The National Archives – WO 97)

• Merchant Navy Seamen Records, 1835-1941. (The National Archives  BT112, BT113, BT114, BT115, BT116, BT119 and BT120)
• Militia Service Records, 1806-1915. (The National Archives – WO 96)
• War Office Registers, 1772-1935
• World War I Service Records, 1914-1920 (The National Archives – WO 363 and 364)  
• World War I Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps Records, 1917-1920.
