Folkestone & District Family History Society

The Folkestone and District Family History Society was founded in 1976 to encourage and promote the study of family history in the South East Kent area.  The Society covers the following parishes in the present Shepway District Council area in the South East corner of Kent: Acrise, Appledore, Blackmanstone, Brenzett, Brookland, Broomhill, Burmarsh, Capel-le-Ferne, Cheriton, Dymchurch, Eastbridge, Elham, Elmstead, Fairfield, Folkestone, Hawkinge, Hope, Hythe, Ivychurch, Lydd, Lyminge, Lympne, Midley, Monks Horton, New Romney, Newchurch, Newington-next-Hythe, Old Romney, Orgarswick, Paddlesworth, Postling,
St Mary in the Marsh, Saltwood, Sandgate, Sellinge, Snargate, Snave, Stanford, Stelling, Stelling Minnis, Stowting, Swingfield and West Hythe.
