The Surf Coast Family History Group was formed in 1999 as a sub-group of the Anglesea and District Historical Society. The Family Files Project in conjunction with the Historical Society is storing published information about early district families in a genealogical database with data entry for stage 1 complete, and proofreading almost complete. A preliminary demonstration and training database will be available shortly. The associated hard-copy Family File is being constantly added to. Any contributions are welcome. Anglesea is 110 km from Melbourne on the Great Ocean Road in the Surf Coast Shire local government area.
