GENUKI Family History and Genealogy Societies in Wales.

National Library of Wales. Electronic resources include the Digital Mirror  with online books, manuscripts and maps. Online databases include Crime and Punishment 1730-1830 (see Convicts), index of applicants for marriage licences 1616-1837 and manorial documents register.

Wales on the Web, by the National Library of Wales, is a gateway to e-resources and quality websites relating to Wales and all aspects of Welsh life.

Gathering the Jewels.with 20,000+ images of objects, books, letters, aerial photographs and other items from museums, libraries and record offices in Wales. A Family History link is available.

Cardiganshire Family History Society.

Carmarthenshire Family History Society offers members access to a variety of online databases and images. Up

Clwyd Family History Society. For research in Flintshire, Denbighshire and parts of Merionethshire.  Includes photographs of every parish church in north-east Wales.

Dyfed Family History Society for research in Cardiganshire, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.

Glamorgan Family History Society

Gwent Family History Society.For research in the county of Monmouthshire.

Gwynedd Family History Society. Covers the pre 1974 counties of Anglesey, Caernarfonshire, parts of Denbighshire and most of Merionethshire.

Montgomeryshire Genealogical Society.

Powys Family History Society for research in Breconshire, Montgomeryshire and Radnorshire.

Powys Heritage Online. The history of mid-Wales from photographs, documents, maps and museum exhibits. This site offers access to several projects including the Powys Digital History Project for schools; Powys: A Day in the Life Project 1891; Six Powys Communities Online (featuring the history of six communities) and a link to the Powys County Archives Office.

Old Welsh Books with English Translations by John Bear. This site aims to translate a range of old books from Welsh to English. This site displays the books page by page, with the Welsh original and the English translation side by side. Currently there is one complete and five partial translations available on this Australian site. Most of the chosen books relate to Australia.

FamilySearch. Click on Research Helps, then Articles, then the letter W for access to a series of guides for research in Wales.

Coalfield Web Materials. This site provides a unique insight into the social, political and cultural life of the South Wales Coalfield during the 19th and 20th centuries. The site is based on the holdings of the South Wales Coalfield Collection at the University of Wales.

Cymdeithas Madog, The Welsh Studies Institute in North America. This site features a large collection of Welsh links.
