This database contains historical photographs of China 1911-1949. There are also some items from the late Qing Dynasty and the early years post establishment of the People’s Republic of China. The 70,000 photographs in the database are classified in four sub-libraries: personage in Republic of China, historical events, lives and customs, and architecture and scenery, which is sub-divided into 24 sections.
