This collection includes:
• 1828 New South Wales, census (Australian copy) and 1828 New South Wales, census (The National Archives UK copy)
Note: The 1828 census is the only complete Australian census that has survived
• 1841 New South Wales, census. Surviving records include householders’ returns which names the head of the household and details about the home
• 1891 New South Wales, census. Lists the census district name and number, county, sub-district, locality, householder’s name and number in the household
• 1901 New South Wales census. Lists the surname of the head of the household plus the number in the household
• New South Wales and Tasmania, Convict Musters, 1806-1849. General musters usually included both convicts and ex-convicts
• New South Wales, Census and Population Books, 1811-1825. This collection contains population, land, and stock books. These records predate the first official census, which was held in 1828
