The aim of the Society is to promote the study of genealogy and family history in Moray and Nairnshire, as well as the production of publications relating to these counties.
Covers the old counties of Sutherland, Ross, Inverness, and Nairn. The society also has an interest in, and information about, Caithness and northern parishes of Argyll and Perth.
The Society aims to promote an interest in genealogy and wherever possible help others trace their roots, especially families originating from Caithness.

The Society undertakes projects relevant to family history, produces publications and tries to assist members, particularly those who live outwith the area, with simple and specific research.
The Society founded in 1989 has built up a wide range of knowledge on the people of Dundonald and the surrounding parishes in Ayrshire including the Troon area.
The North Ayrshire Family History Society (formerly Largs & North Ayrshire FHS) was formed in 1988. Its aim is to promote the study of family history in the Local Government Authority Area of North Ayrshire, Scotland.
Based in the South-West of Scotland, three miles south of the town of Ayr, the Society covers Alloway, the neighbouring areas and Southern Ayrshire. The Society welcomes all interested in family history and/or with family connections in these localities.
